This 4-hour course teaches participants how to respond to airway emergencies in children and is designed for people who care for children, both full-time or occasionally. 

 

The course covers:

  • CPR and rescue breathing for infants and children 

  • How to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children, ages 12 and younger 

  • How to prevent, prepare for and treat medical emergencies in infants and children  

  • Education regarding bloodborne pathogens and the use of barrier devices

 

Upon completion, students receive a 2-year certification with certification card and a combination CPR/First Aid student workbook.

 

Adult CPR training is highly recommended prior to this course.
