This course teaches participants who are currently certified in CPR the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This training also includes real-life scenarios to provide participants with hand-on training. This course can be added to CPR training classes.

 

The course covers:

• Safety considerations

• How to recognize sudden cardiac arrest

• How to use the AED

Upon completion, participants receive a 2-year certification with certification card and comprehensive, illustrated student workbook.

We also offer a shorter, 2-hour AED familiarization class that gives participants an overview of safety considerations and operation of the device.
